Itinerary

Day 01: Arrival in Kathmandu (1400m)

Your Himalayan adventure commences with a flight to Kathmandu. Upon arrival, our representatives will warmly welcome you at the airport and escort you to your hotel for check-in. After settling in, you can relax at the hotel and spend the night there.

Day 02: Sightseeing of Kathmandu and Bhaktapur city

Embark on a guided tour of four UNESCO World Heritage Sites in Kathmandu. Explore Kathmandu Durbar Square, Pashupatinath Temple, Boudhanath Stupa, and Swayambhunath Temple (also known as Monkey Temple). These sites hold immense cultural and religious significance in Kathmandu.

The tour also includes visits to Bhaktapur Durbar Square and Patan Durbar Square, each known for their unique charms. Bhaktapur boasts well-preserved local lifestyles, while Patan is famous for its intricate traditional handicrafts. Spend the night at the hotel.

Day 03: Fly to Lukla and explore around Lukla (2730m/8954ft)

After breakfast, head to the domestic terminal of TIA (Tribhuvan International Airport) for an early morning flight to Lukla. The flight offers mesmerizing views of lush greenery and majestic mountains until you arrive at Tenzing-Hillary Airport in Lukla. This airport's landing is one of the world's most scenic, surrounded by towering peaks. Spend the day acclimatizing and exploring the nearby villages and the charming town of Lukla. Overnight in Lukla.

Day 04: Trek to Chutanga (3,430 m/11,250 ft): 3-4 hours

3-4 hours Today marks the beginning of your trek, featuring an easy walk towards the east. You'll traverse less crowded trails and pass through small villages and forests filled with silver fir, birch, pine, and rhododendron trees. Chutanga, our destination for the day, is a picturesque summer pasture with numerous small streams and stunning surroundings. Be sure to follow our Sherpa guides or group leader, as several paths branch off from the main trail. Spend the night at Chutanga.

Day 05: Trek to Thuli Kharka (4320m/13200ft) via Zwatra la (4600 m/14720 ft): 5-6 hours

5-6 hours Today's journey takes you up the Kalo Himal Ridge in the Nau Lekh range, which separates the Khumbu and Hinku valleys. You'll reach Zatrwa Og, a small pass at 4,450m, adorned with vibrant Buddhist prayer flags. After crossing this pass, a boulder slope awaits, leading to Zatrwa-La at 4,600m. Here, you'll be treated to breathtaking vistas of the Dudh Kosi, Karyolung, and Lumding Himal. Thuli Karka, our destination, is just a short distance from here, where we'll spend the night.

Day 06: Trek to Kothe (3600 m, /11808ft): 5-6 hours

Embark on your trek alongside the Hinku Khola ridge, offering mesmerizing views of Mera Peak. Lunch will be at Gondishung, followed by a visit to the 200-year-old Lungsumgba Gompa. This Gompa provides an opportunity to witness Mera Peak and its route. Finally, we'll reach Thaknak, a summer grazing area offering basic lodges and shops. You'll spend the night in Thaknak.

Day 07: Kothe to Thaknak (4,350m/14,270ft): 3-4 hours

Today, continue your trek from Thaknak, walking alongside the Dig Glacier while enjoying spectacular views of the Charpate Himal. The journey includes an ascent to the moraines, where you'll encounter the Hinku Nup and Shar Glaciers. Finally, make a steep ascent to Khare, where the northern face of Mera Peak unfolds in breathtaking fashion. After lunch, you can embark on a hike amidst Khare's scenic surroundings. Your overnight stay will be at Khare.

Day 08: Thaknak to Khare (5,045m/16,486ft): 2-3 hours

Today, our guides will ensure all climbing gear is in top condition and arrange for any necessary rentals. They will also provide training on using climbing equipment such as ice axes, crampons, and harnesses, as well as the techniques for ascending and descending with ropes. While prior training isn't mandatory for reaching Mera Peak Base Camp, having some experience can boost your confidence and increase your chances of a successful summit. Spend the night in Khare.

Day 09: Acclimatization at Khare

Today, your guides will assess climbing equipment and provide training on its proper use. You'll learn essential climbing techniques, including rope usage, ice axe techniques, crampon usage, and harness and ascender skills. While prior training is not obligatory, it enhances your confidence and skills, increasing the chances of a successful Mera Peak ascent. Spend the night in Khare.

Day 10: Khare to Mera Base Camp (5300m/17,384ft): 3-4 hours

After breakfast, hike to Mera Peak Base Camp. The trail is steep and rocky, but take your time and trek safely to reach the camp. Upon arrival, rest and relax. If anyone desires additional training in climbing techniques for enhanced confidence, it can be arranged. The remainder of the day is for resting and preparation for the next day's climb. Spend the night at Mera Peak Base Camp.

Day 11: Mera Base Camp to High camp (5,780m/18,958ft): 4-5 hours

Today's journey involves the route to Mera High Camp, passing through Mera La pass. The trail is rocky and potentially challenging if snow is present. Reach the top of a rock band, marked by a large cairn, and establish a high camp. From here, revel in breathtaking views of mountains such as Mt. Everest, Makalu, Cho-Oyu, Lhotse, Nuptse, Chamlang, and Baruntse. Spend the night at Mera High Camp.

Day 12: Mera High Camp to Summit (6,461m/21,1907ft) and back to Khare (5045m/16,547ft): 8-9 hours

Today is a pivotal day as you reach the summit of Mera Peak. Begin your climb early in the morning, starting with a cold environment that gradually warms as you ascend the glacier and climb onto a ridge. Witness the first rays of the sun bathing the towering peaks in a warm, red glow. As you ascend further, the air thins, but the route remains manageable. For added safety, fixed ropes may be used in the final steep section approaching the summit. Once you reach the summit, savor panoramic views of the Himalayas, including Mt. Everest, Lhotse, Makalu, and others. After enjoying the view, retrace your steps to the high camp for some rest before descending to Khare. Spend the night in Khare.

Day 13: Reserve Day for Contingency

Serves as a contingency day in case unfavorable weather or unforeseen circumstances prevent you from summiting Mera Peak on Day 12. If all goes well, you can use this day to return to Lukla at a leisurely pace.

Day 14: Khare to Kothe (3600m/11808ft): 4-5 hours

Having successfully summited Mera Peak, trek back to Kothe along the same trail used previously. Upon arriving in Kothe, celebrate your accomplishment by savoring local cuisine and wine. Spend the night in Kothe.

Day 15: Kothe to Thuli Kharka: 5-6 hours

Ascend uphill through enchanting rhododendron forests on the west side of the Hinku Valley to reach Thuli Kharka. Along the way, you'll be surrounded by captivating hills adorned with Nepal's national flower, rhododendrons. Once in Thuli Kharka, soak in panoramic views of Mera North, Mera Central, and the South Face.

Day 16: Thuli Kharka to Lukla: 6-7 hours

Today's trek takes you to the Zatrwa La Pass. After crossing the pass, you'll be greeted by the breathtaking sight of Lukla Valley, encircled by majestic peaks. Descend to Chutanga and continue your journey to the village of Lukla. Enjoy dinner with your crew and spend the night in Lukla.

Day 17: Fly to Kathmandu

Bid farewell to the trekking trails as you take a flight from Lukla back to Kathmandu. To commemorate the completion of your trek, indulge in a farewell dinner and discuss future plans for returning to this mesmerizing region.

Day 18:Transfer to the airport for the final departure
